Perfect for Rhode Island Day Trips from New York, Massachusetts & Connecticut

Bristol Harbor Inn is located mid-way between Newport and Providence, 35 minutes from T.F. Green Airport in Warwick, RI and 70 minutes from Boston's Logan Airport.

From Boston: Follow I-93 South to Rt. 24 South (Exit 4 - Left Lane Exit). After approximately 38 miles, Rt. 24 merges into Rt. I-195 in Fall River. Bear right for I-195 West. Take the next exit, Exit 8A to continue on Rt. 24 South toward Newport.  You will follow Rt. 24 South into Rhode Island. Note: There is an Exit 2 in Massachusetts - Do not take that exit. Wait until you see the "Welcome to Rhode Island" sign and then watch for Exit 2. It is marked "Boyd Lane, Bristol/Portsmouth.  Bear right at the end of the exit-ramp onto Boyd Lane. You will drive up a hill and then over the Mount Hope Bridge on Rt. 114 NorthRoger Williams University is on your immediate right after you cross the Mt. Hope  Bridge. As you pass the college, move to the left lane as the road will split ahead. You need to stay left for Rt. 114 North. A mile and a half on Rt. 114 North takes you to downtown Bristol. Turn left onto State Street (Dunkin Donuts is on the corner) and at the end of State, turn right onto Thames Street. The entrance to Thames Street Landing and Bristol Harbor Inn is immediately on your left.

From New York City and Points South: Take I-95N to Providence, then proceed as below.

From Providence: Take I-195 East from I-95. Take Exit 7 for Rt. 114 South (Barrington). Stay on 114 South for approximately 14 miles through Barrington, Warren and into Bristol, where Rt. 114  becomes Hope Street. Tip: When the center stripe on the street turns Red, White & Blue, you are one mile from downtown. As the harbor comes into view on the right, bear right at the flagpole onto Thames Street. Just before your third stop sign on Thames Street, the entrance to the Bristol Harbor Inn and Thames Street Landing parking lot will be on your right.
